Open Spaces Committee membership is normally 8 councillors plus two ex officio members

This committee manages the Council’s amenity sites and activities (including street lighting), its broad policy being to balance achievable standards within available funding, utilising the four  ground staff and cleaner. It meets 6 times per year and is serviced by the Deputy Town Clerk, and attended by the Head Groundsman. Partly because of the staff costs this Committee sets and monitors the largest of the Council’s budgets.
