If the thought of growing your own fruit, vegetables and flowers appeals to you, there are allotment plots in Edenbridge now available to rent.
Now’s a good time to get your plot as you’ll be able to tend to the ground before winter and get everything ready for some spring planting!
Our smaller allotment site off Swan Lane is full, but there are plots available at our bigger site off Forge Croft, which is managed day-to-day for us by the Edenbridge Allotment Gardens Association.
According to the National Allotment Society, an allotment can produce enough food to supplement a family’s weekly shop over the year if managed properly.
As well as financial gains, tending to an allotment can bring a huge sense of achievement as well as physical benefits. It’s a place to become part of a community of like-minded people and great for families too.
Cost: £35 a year for a full plot, including insurance. Half plots are available. There are also kitchen facilities available for that well-deserved cuppa!
