Parks and playgrounds

The town has well-maintained parks and open green spaces and a Millennium Wood at Mowshurst (click here). A variety of sports are played at the Lingfield Road Recreation Ground and cricket at Blossoms Park, where there are also skate/BMX ramps. Children’s play areas are located in Stangrove Park (up to 8 years), Lingfield Road Recreation Ground (up to 12), Park View Close (4 – 12 but the kick about area and kit outside the fence is for all ages and Spitals Cross (up to 12), where there is also a ball park at the Pen in Field Drive. The newest areas include an all inclusive outdoor gym and multi games activity area in Stangrove Park; and a new playground (summer 2022) at the Recreation Ground, Lingfield Road with 23 items for creative play for a range of ages up to and including teenagers (playgrounds).

Clubs

There are more than 80 local clubs and organisations for all age groups, ranging from the archery to yoga. The major sports played in the town, at both senior and junior level, include cricket, rugby and soccer.

Fishing

There is excellent angling in the rivers and fisheries around the district.

Golf

There are selection of golf courses around Edenbridge, details are listed on the visitedenbridge website, along with other activities in the area.

Leisure Centre

In Stangrove Park there is a multi-purpose leisure centre with two swimming pools. The facilities also include a squash court, sports hall, gym, dance studio, all-weather pitch and cafe.

Walking

Edenbridge is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with fine views, and an excellent network of footpaths which provide everything from a short stroll to a full day’s walk.
