Edenbridge Town Council joins the nation in mourning the death of our late Sovereign, Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II.
The passing of Queen Elizabeth is tremendously sad. She has shown extraordinary service and commitment to our country for over 70 years, and she has touched the lives of so many people across this country – and the world. She is loved by so many people and will be greatly missed.
The Town Council will open a book of condolence during the state mourning period for members of the public to sign. This will be available at Doggetts Barn, 72a High Street, Monday to Friday 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
You can also write a message in the online book of condolence
If you would like to lay flowers, you can also do so at Doggetts Barn Courtyard. Flowers should ideally be opened and not wrapped or in cellophane. They will be removed after the funeral.
A Proclamation ceremony was held on Sunday 11 September at the Council offices, Doggetts Courtyard.
During the national mourning period all Council meetings and events will be rescheduled.
