Community groups and initiatives in Edenbridge have once again benefitted from the Town Council’s Annual Grants scheme, with funding awarded to a variety of projects aimed at enhancing local services and activities.
Each year, the Council invites applications from organisations dedicated to supporting the Edenbridge community. The grants are designed to encourage and expand activities that benefit residents.
Some of this year’s funding will go towards residential trips for young people, breastfeeding and early parenting support, hygiene packs for local families, and the annual Edenbridge Christmas fair.
Chairman of the Finance Committee, Cllr Stephen Sumner, said:
“This year, we were delighted to allocate £8,000 in grants to support services and initiatives that we believe will positively impact the quality of life for our residents. The grant process has been an eye-opener, showcasing the sheer diversity and vibrancy of community groups in Edenbridge. I’d encourage everyone to explore what’s on offer locally and, if you’re part of an organisation that serves the community, consider applying for a grant in the next round.”
