Tandridge is considering four locations for a Garden Village to help meet their housing requirements up to 2033. One of the four locations under consideration is a cross border village on land west of Edenbridge, south of the Tonbridge-Redhill train line. The proposal includes over 6,000 houses, a primary school, open spaces, sports pitches, a village hub and would support improvements on the Tonbridge-Redhill railway line. Details of the proposal can be found by clicking on this link Local-Plan-Garden-Villages-Consultation.
The proposal is for consultation, runs from 9am on 14 August to 5pm on 9 October. Edenbridge Town Council will be considering its response at the Council meeting on 11 September 7.30pm at Rickards Hall.
