UPDATE on advice for Covid-19

The Town Council continues to maintain contact with the relevant agencies and the Medical Practice. Residents should continue to follow the Government advice and to maintain social distancing and for the over 70s and vulnerable people in our communities to self-isolate.

We would encourage residents to be neighbourly and look out for each other. However, we would warn that there has already been scammers and would advise people to be careful and aware of this.

Sevenoaks District Council is co-ordinating the wider emergency plans and we will take the lead from them. The Town Council’s Emergency Planning Committee will be co-ordinating a local response to the situation to support the community in the appropriate way.

However, it is important to mention that anyone with possible symptoms should contact 111 and self-isolate.  The Medical Centre continues to care for residents with other medical issues, but you should not just turn-up at the practice without an appointment. Kent County Council will continue to oversee the social care services.
