The Councillors got together for the first time last night for an informal briefing/ training session & signed their Acceptance of Office in advance of the Annual Council Meeting on Monday night.
Monday’s meeting sets out the rules under which the new Council will operate. It is full of Policies & procedures to be agreed and is designed to meet the legal requirement for the establishment of the new Council. It is not an Annual General Meeting.
At the meeting members will decide the representations to Committees and Working Groups.
It was a really positive meeting yesterday and nice to introduce everyone to the office staff. We look forward to working together for the benefit of our Town.
