Visit Edenbridge – a gateway to history, nature and adventure
In 2007-08, Edenbridge Town Council took on the responsibility of providing a central information hub for visitors, following the closure of the previous Visitor Information Centre at Edenbridge Leisure Centre. Recognising the value of tourism for both residents and local businesses, Town Councillors made the strategic decision to raise the town’s profile as a visitor destination.
This vision led to a successful bid for Hidden Britain SE grant funding, enabling the development of a project that highlights Edenbridge’s rich heritage, historic charm, and stunning natural surroundings. As part of this initiative, the town’s well-maintained public footpath network was enhanced, and 10 local short walks of varying lengths were identified – perfect for exploring Edenbridge’s scenic beauty on foot.
Whether you’re planning a day out, a weekend stay, or a longer visit, Visit Edenbridge is your go-to resource for inspiration. Explore places to stay, shop, and dine, and download our Ten Walks Leaflets to start your journey through Edenbridge’s picturesque landscapes. Copies of the leaflets are available from the Town Council office and will also soon be available via a Walks App. It is advisable to also download the up-to-amendments, which are listed on each walk page.
