Council business is conducted through committees
Each of these committees play a crucial role in managing Edenbridge’s local services and policies. They focus on specific areas like Planning, Transportation, and other key community concerns. Committees review proposals, make decisions, and provide recommendations that guide the Council’s work. This ensures that decisions affecting residents are well-considered, efficient, and transparent. Committee meetings also provide opportunities for public involvement, enabling residents to share their views on important issues. By collaborating across different areas, committees help improve the overall quality of life in the community.
Councillors sit on various committees; all councillors are members of the CIL Board and Forward Planning Steering Group. Some councillors also sit on external groups to represent the Town Council.
