Council Tax £2.70 a week

There has been a lot of chatter on social media recently stating that Edenbridge Council tax is super expensive. The facts are that the portion that comes to the Town Council is £2.70 a week. This pays for the upkeep of the parks, playgrounds, cemetery, sports facilities, supports youth work, the museum and lots more besides. The governance of the finances is covered by internal and external audit processes. Comparisons have been drawn with larger Councils which benefit from higher numbers of residents contributing towards the cost. Edenbridge is a great place to live and the daffodills planted by volunteers, funding by the Great Stone Bridge Trust show what great community spirit we have as well.
