Edenbridge recognised at Community and Voluntary Awards evening

The Bridges Centre in Edenbridge won Charity of the Year

Congratulations to all the volunteers across the district that were recognised at Sevenoaks District Council’s ‘Making it Happen’ Community and Voluntary awards, held on Wednesday 15 March.

The awards celebrated the amazing volunteers and community groups across the district who selflessly use their time to help others.

The awards were hosted by Sevenoaks District Council Leader, Cllr Peter Fleming, who was joined by special guest Dr Hilary Jones from Good Morning Britain and Antiques Roadshow expert Lennox Cato.

It was wonderful to see so many organisations and individuals from Edenbridge acknowledged for their hard work and commitment. The Council is delighted that The Bridges Centre was the winner of the Charity Project of the Year – well done to all the team.

Sevenoaks District Youth Mentoring Project won Youth Group of the Year for their work helping young people from within the district, including Edenbridge.
