Communications and Administration Assistant, 15 hours per week, who would be responsible for the Council’s social media, preparing press releases, articles, and newsletters, raising the profile of the Council and its activities to create an improved experience for residents and visitors alike.
The position will also include some office and front desk duties working with the public to help with any queries they have, so good customer service skills are needed.
This person will need to have a combination of excellent social media and written skills, some marketing, media, or public relations experience would be an advantage. The ability to be creative, multi-task and to work as part of a team. (Further details below.)
Thursday Market Officer, up to 10 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the visionary, operational and overall day-to-day management to develop a successful vibrant Thursday market for Edenbridge. They will liaise with market traders, local businesses, community groups and to improve the sustainability of the market for the town.
The successful candidate will be interested in making Edenbridge Thursday Market thrive and grow, have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Have a combination of social media skills, marketing and event experience. The ability to work independently is essential but also to be part of the Council’s office team. Knowledge of markets, health and safety and risk assessment would be an advantage. (Further details below.)
Both positions are offered on a one-year contract, to be reviewed at 12 months. Pay rates are based on the NJC recommendations, LC1 scales and include 22 days annual leave pro-rata to part time hours. Candidates may apply for one or both positions if interested.
