Garden winners to be revealed at garden talk night

This event is cancelled due to the national period of mourning and the death of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II

It’s almost time to reveal the winners of our Ready-Steady-Grow gardening competition we launched earlier this year!

The winners in seven categories will be announced at a presentation evening at Rickards Hall on Wednesday 14 September (6pm for 6.30pm start), followed by a talk from renowned horticulturalist and RHS judge, Jim Buttress, who is also a regular presenter on BBC Radio Sussex/Surrey Dig It. The evening is expected to finish by 8.00 pm.

Jim has won eight gold medals at RHS Chelsea, and in 2006 he was awarded the highest accolade possible in the gardening world in recognition of his unrivalled contribution to horticulture – the Victoria Medal of Honour (VMH).

“We were really impressed with this year’s entries and are looking forward to celebrating everyone’s efforts in the garden,” said Cllr Bob Todd, Chairman of Edenbridge Town Council. “It’s clear to see that the people of Edenbridge take great pride in their gardens and that there is a lot of gardening knowledge and skill among us.”
