Goodbye & Hello!

Edenbridge has said “goodbye” to its long-serving Town Clerk Christine Lane, who has retired after 20 years with the Council. She first joined the staff as Responsible Finance Officer, and became the Clerk in 2006. Her many achievements include partnership projects to refurbish the playground on Stangrove Estate, and the skate ramps area in Blossoms Park. The most personally pleasing was creation of a safe walking route with a pavement to the primary school from Market Yard car park.

Taking over from Christine is Caroline Leet, who joins the Council with seven years’ experience as Clerk for Ashurst Wood, including project management, fundraising, and working with young people. The Council wishes Christine an enjoyable retirement and looks forward to its next chapter, delivering new projects for the community.
