Two-week closure of M23 slip roads for resurfacing

The below information is taken from the BBC website: M23: Motorway slip roads to close for two weeks for resurfacing – BBC News

A section of the M23 in West Sussex will be closed for more than two weeks as part of the first phase of a resurfacing project.

The work on the junction nine roundabout, Gatwick Spur Road and Airport Way is to take place between 7 January and 13 February.

The first phase of the resurfacing is to take place between 7 and 22 January.

During that time, the junction nine northbound off slip road will remain open, while the other slip roads will be closed, National Highways said.

Traffic wishing to exit the M23 at the junction nine southbound off slip road will need to continue down the motorway to junction 10 and turn around to rejoin the M23 northbound.

Motorists wishing to use the M23 eastbound Spur Road to join the M23 will be diverted to turn around at the Longbridge roundabout.

Throughout the project, the resurfacing work will be carried out at night from Monday to Friday between 21:00 GMT and 05:00.

The second phase of work is to happen between 23 and 28 January, while phase three is scheduled to happen from 29 January to 13 February.
