Forward Planning Steering Group

The Forward Planning Steering Group consist of all Councillors.

This committee’s role is to make policy recommendations over the medium term to Council, with particular reference to capital projects, and to consider factors which would affect the setting of budgets. It has no delegated authority and no budget.

At its October 2023 meeting, the group resolved to develop a Strategic Forward Plan, following a visioning exercise with officers and councillors earlier in the year. The Council’s Strategic Plan and Objectives 2024-27 was approved by full Council in July 2024. Updated programme of projects October 2024.
