Congratulations to Edenbridge-based business, AirBorn International Ltd, which has expanded its operations with the opening of a larger factory in the town.
Last week (Friday 8 September), Council Chairman Cllr Bob Todd was delighted to visit the new site and meet with employees at the official opening. Edenbridge Town Councillor, Alan Layland, also attended the event as Chairman of Sevenoaks District Council.
“The facilities are very impressive and the work that goes on is fascinating,” said Cllr Todd. “The company manufactures and supplies electronic components and connectors that are used in spacecrafts as well as defence and medical equipment, trading globally across the world right here from the heart of Edenbridge.”
He added: “AirBorn’s presence in our community is hugely significant and I am really pleased that they have chosen to base themselves in Edenbridge – with a growing workforce of 150 and the scale of operations, it is one of the biggest employers to come to the town and a fine example of British manufacturing thriving. As well as providing jobs for local people, it is also great to see that they are investing in our community and helping to sponsor and support events such as the Edenbridge Motor Show and Edenbridge Bonfire Night.”
“On behalf of all the councillors and staff at Edenbridge Town Council, we hope the future continues to be prosperous for all at AirBorn.”
