Walk in nature for your chance of winning eco-goodies

Get your walking shoes on this summer and you could win a hamper full of eco-goodies!

Throughout the summer holidays Sevenoaks District Council is running FREE wildlife trails in five locations across the District. Together with the North West Kent Countryside Partnership, they have created eco-trails for the whole family to enjoy.

The trails will be set up between 22 July to 4 September in Crockham Hill Common, Farningham Woods, Hosey Common, Oxenhill Shaw Woods and Shoreham Woods. They’ll explore some beautiful nature spots and be filled with fun facts and quizzes along the way.

There will also be a chance to win one of five Eco-Hampers that include a reusable, patterned shopping bag, a bamboo hot drinks cup, a pack of wild seed flowers and lots more. All you need to do is tag the Council in your favourite wildlife photo from the trail on Facebook (@SevenoaksDC). All entries will be put in a prize draw with the winners picked at random.

And although they are not one of the official eco-trail walks, don’t forget that we have plenty of walking opportunities available to us here in Edenbridge. Enjoy some time outdoors with the family – or perhaps some quiet time by yourself or your four-legged friend – at places like Millennium Wood or the fields at the back of the Recreation Ground. For more walk ideas you can visit our tourism website: Walks – Visit Edenbridge or pop into the council offices off the High Street to pick up a walking leaflet with map.
