We would like to congratulate our very own Town Councillor of 15 years, Cllr Margot McArthur, on being appointed as the new Chairman of Sevenoaks District Council.
Cllr McArthur officially took on the role at the Council’s Annual Meeting and will serve as Chairman for the coming civic year. The position carries an important responsibility in representing the District and supporting local communities, charities, and civic events across Sevenoaks.
Margot was elected to Sevenoaks District Council over ten years ago to represent the Edenbridge South and West ward. She served on the Council’s Cabinet leading on the early work to improve waste collection services. She was also a Kent County Councillor.
Her chosen charity for the year is Bore Place – Stay, Explore & Learn | Organic Farm in Kent
We wish Cllr McArthur every success in the role and look forward to seeing the positive contribution she will make during her term as Chairman.
