We are proud to reaffirm our commitment to the National Association for Local Councils (NALC) and the Society for Local Council Clerks (SLCC) Civility and Respect Pledge.
We first signed the pledge in December 2022 to show our support for the wellbeing of councillors, officers and staff in their roles. With a new council in 2023, councillors took another look and unanimously agreed to continue this commitment so it stays active, current and understood by all.
By signing the Pledge, the Council has agreed that it will treat councillors, clerks, employees, members of the public, and representatives of partner organisations and volunteers with civility and respect.
