Family-friendly activities to enjoy in Edenbridge this summer

Did you know that 0-15 year olds make up around 20% of our local population here in Edenbridge? We’re proud of the fantastic facilities we offer for our young residents and the support/funding we provide to local groups and clubs that benefit them.

With summer holidays now here, we hope this serves as a great reminder of all the wonderful activities and opportunities available for young people in our town. Make this summer unforgettable with these family-friendly activities!

  • Explore scenic countryside walks along the Eden Valley – perfect for nature lovers.
  • Let the kids have a blast at local playgrounds and parks like Stangrove Park and the Recreation Ground with swings, slides, and plenty of space to run around.
  • Got older kids? Check out Blossoms Park skate park for some trick practice and socialising.
  • Pack a picnic and relax in the beautiful green spaces around town.
  • Find out what sporting opportunities there are at the Recreation Ground, home of Edenbridge Rugby Football Club
  • Visit Edenbridge Market on a Thursday. Little ones will love learning all the names of produce on the Fruit ‘n’ Veg stall and can help you pick up ingredients to do some baking at home.
  • Take a walk down the High Street and support our local, independent businesses, perhaps treating the family to an ice-cream
  • Come along to one of our free Family Fun Days – 1,8,15,22 August at Stangrove Park 2-5pm
  • Edenbridge Leisure Centre has swimming, sports, and fitness classes for all ages.
  • Don’t forget to check out other community places such as the Eden Centre and library, Eden Valley Museum, The Bridges Centre, churches and WI Hall for lots more goings-on and clubs.

Free summer family fun days are back!

Our popular and FREE family fun days are returning to Stangrove Park this August with lots of activities for everyone.

2 pm to 5 pm on Thursdays 1, 8, 15 and 22 August 2024

There will be crafts, games, sports, and more in a friendly and safe environment.

There’s no need to book, simply turn up and have fun. However, children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Activities are provided for children under the age of 12, but they may not be suitable for very young children.

Three of the fun days are funded by Edenbridge Town Council, while the other by Sevenoaks District Council. They are run by Play Place.

Also this year, Millwall Community Trust has teamed up with Kellogg’s to offer free football camps to girls and boys aged 5 to 12 at certain fun days such as Four Elms. Places are limited to 40 people per session and must be booked in advance. To claim a free place, you’ll need a promotional code which can be found on the boxes of most Kellogg’s products.
