Edenbridge’s green spaces are celebrating another successful year at the South & South East in Bloom Awards 2026, with Edenbridge Cemeterey achieving a fantastic Gold Award – an improvement on last year’s Silver-Gilt.
The Churchyard and Cemeteries now join Stangrove Park as one of Edenbridge’s Gold Award-winning spaces, with the park retaining its Gold status again this year.
The Town Council received awards across all four of its entries:
- Stangrove Park – Gold Award
- Edenbridge Cemetery – Gold Award
- Millennium Wood – Silver-Gilt Award
- Edenbridge Town Centre – Silver Award

These achievements wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and expertise of our incredible Grounds Team, so a big thank you to them. And to our officers and councillors for their work in supporting and progressing initiatives that continue to enhance our town.
South & South East in Bloom is part of the wider Britain in Bloom initiative, which hosts annual competitions in various counties across the country.
“To reflect changes in society, judging criteria now place greater importance on community engagement and environmental management. Local authorities, community groups, and volunteers join forces to improve the quality of life in their areas, and we celebrate their hard work by recognising and rewarding their successes. From tending parks and gardens to tackling litter, graffiti, and anti-social behaviour, these communities create and maintain beautiful spaces, building a sense of pride, place, and spirit in their towns and villages.” South and South East in Bloom website.
