Crouch House Road: railway bridge refurbishment and road closure

Network Rail will be carrying out essential refurbishment works to the railway bridge on Crouch House Road to help extend the life of the bridge. These works are essential in helping to reduce any future bridge closures that could impact road users and passengers who use these commuter lines.

*Update: These works have been postponed until further notice. There is currently no confirmed date, but Network Rail is aiming to agree a road closure, access and set-up on site before the end of the year* [The work was due to begin on 26 August 2024 and due to be completed by the end of November 2024.]

To carry out these refurbishment works there will be a full road closure in place on Crouch House Road for the duration of these works. There will be no pedestrian access during these works but there will be access to the Woodland Burial Ground and the Golf Club.

Due to the tools that will be used and the various vehicle movements, local residents may experience some disturbance during these works, but every effort will be made to minimise as much noise as possible.
