May marks new Council

The four-yearly election for Edenbridge Town Council was this year uncontested, as there were only 11 candidates nominated for 15 places. This means we have four vacancies, which the new Council will look to fill through the usual casual vacancy process after its first meeting on 15 May, 7.30pm at Rickards Hall.

You can view the nominated candidates and the wards they will represent on the Notice of Uncontested Election.

On 4 May, residents will still be able to vote for the Edenbridge candidate that they would like to represent them on Sevenoaks District Council.

We would like to pay our thanks to Cllr Vic Jennings who did not stand for re-election. Vic was first elected to the Council in 1991 representing the North and East Ward, and was Chairman in 1995-1997. He has been involved in many projects over the years and we are very grateful for his long service to the Council and the people of Edenbridge.

Cllr Nick Lloyd also decided not to stand for re-election. He has been a tremendous help to the Council as Chair of the Finance and Governance Committee.
