This year’s Silver Sunday boasts dozens of local events for older people, most of which are free.
Silver Sunday was originally set up to tackle loneliness, but in recent years it has become a national campaign to celebrate the contribution of older people while encouraging social activity.
Promoted locally by Sevenoaks District Council, and running from September to December, residents can sign up to a variety of activities and events.
For more information and a full list of events across the Sevenoaks District, visit www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/silversunday. To request a leaflet listing this year’s Silver Sunday events, call 01732 227000 or email communities@sevenoaks.gov.uk.
