We are happy to announce that our Strategic Plan and Objectives for 2024-27 has been officially adopted by Full Council in July 2024.
This plan is the result of a dedicated effort to shape the future of our community. Last September, councillors and officers came together for a ‘visioning training session’. This session was pivotal in helping us understand what a strategic plan entails, recognise our strengths, and identify areas for growth.
During the session, we:
- Analysed what we do well
- Identified what needs improvement
- Set achievable and realistic goals
One key recommendation was ensuring our objectives are within our control. The Forward Planning Steering Group meeting in October 2023 reviewed the visioning summary report and resolved to develop a Strategic Forward Plan, building on our existing Forward Plan.
Our new strategic plan focuses on actionable goals that we can influence directly, ensuring we continue to serve our community effectively. We will review it every year.
