At the beginning of January we connected two new streetlights at Westways, bringing the number of streetlights we manage across Edenbridge up to 251. Kent County Council is responsible for other streetlights in the town.
With more people using Westways to access the housing development at St Johns Way, we agreed the area would benefit from more lighting. Funding for the lights came from CIL money (the money we collect from developers and use to improve infrastructure in the town).
Interesting fact: Edenbridge Town Council streetlights can be identified by a number 0-251 on the column. Streetlights that are managed by Kent Council have letters and numbers.
